Welcome

Welcome to my blog, and thank you for checking in with me. I am excited about the prospects to share with you in this media format. Here, you will find my musing on a number of different topics. Some you may agree with and others you may not. No matter what, we will be talking! There is a subject that is dear to me and that subject is leadership. I truly believe that everything depends on leadership.
Because of the burden of leadership, many leaders are hurting...I refer to it as "Leading While Bleeding." In 2007 we had our first conference on "Leading While Bleeding." You can view some of the highlights from the conference by viewing the photos taken. I am in the process of completing my first book on the subject of leadership and in particular the wounds that leaders encounter and must endure to complete their assignments--thus the title: Leading While Bleeding.
The concept of leadership within the context of pain was not something that I spent a lot of time contemplating before. However, a series of events three years ago, changed my entire paradigm concerning this aspect of leadership. It began with a subjective experience with a close friend (you can view the interview with Pastor Daniel Lincoln Video with me at www.myspace.com/tpchanged and concluded with a year and a half of warfare for everything that I had dedicated my life to over past twenty years.
This war was composed of many battles. These battles were fought on the battlegrounds of my faith, family, friends, finances, future and my function as a pastor of a great church. It was a war that nearly destroyed me. It was a war like none other I had fought before! Prior to accepting Christ as Lord and Savior of my life, I had lived on the streets and I knew how to fight and to expect war! But there is a totally different knowledge base and set of expectations required when one leaves that life behind.
This blog is dedicated to leaders who have been or find themselves leading while bleeding--no matter if it is at the result of your own hands or the hands of others--blood is blood! So share your experiences with us.
